ABINGDON – Four teens from Baltimore City and Joppa were charged in connection with a joyride, several thefts from cars and a burglary, said Harford County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday.

Around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, deputies were called to Laurel Woods Court in Abingdon for reports of four suspects tampering with vehicles in the area, said Sgt. Dave Betz.

Cell phones and music players were stolen from at least one car, and police recovered a 1998 Dodge Neon left in the area that was reported stolen from the 4900 block of Loch Raven Boulevard in Baltimore City.

Deputies arrested the suspects, all of whom are juveniles, and recovered property from the teens connected to a burglary that occurred Aug. 23 in Joppa, he said.

The suspects are being identified only as two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old from Baltimore City, and a 15-year-old from Joppa.

They were charged with one count each of motor vehicle theft, theft over $500 and first-degree burglary, Betz said.
